An Over 40 Fitness Diary Blog...

Hello and welcome to my new blog: An Over 40 Fitness Diary.

I have had this blog for a few years and not really know which way to go with it. I was thinking of starting a new blog since April, the day of London marathon and then I thought, why not start a running diary here.

So from today, this blog is going to be all about running, fitness and healthy eating.

I have wanted to start a fitness blog up for a long time now. Trouble is I write a few blogs now and wondered if I had time to write another!? So I have taken the bull by the horns and started one. Let's see where it goes.

An over 40 fitness diary is going to be all about fitness and healthy eating especially shares my love of running. I love to run but can easily talk myself out of it. Next thing is another week has passed and I am no fitter than the week before.

I have decided to start this blog to inspire me to get out and get fit. I also hope that with me writing this blog it will motivate other women to exercise more too.

My long term goals to be a fitter healthier faster me.Who knows!?

As everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear...

So far I have run 2 London Marathons, a hand full of half marathons, a few 10k's and 47 Parkruns. Not long until I get my 50 Parkruns t-shirt!!

The trouble is as I have got older the running has slowed down and I have gained weight. I ran my first ever Parkrun 5 years ago and 6 minutes quicker. Now I want this time back but I know I am going to have to work hard for it.

My Future Plans:

Eat More Fruit And Veggies:

I am now trying to eat more fruit and vegetables instead of cakes, crisps, chocolate biscuits. Adding more fruit and vegetables into every meal.

Drink More Water:

I never drink enough water until I get a bad headache or nosebleed then I remember. I really need to drink more water.

Make Healthier Meals From Fresh Ingredients:

Make more healthier meals from scratch and add plenty of vegetables to them.

Exercise More:

Exercise more, especially more core strength and running. I want to get faster.

Cut Down On Caffeine:

Cut down on tea and coffee and drink more water. 1 cup of coffee a day as a morning treat.

Now rain can you please stop? You have been raining fast for 2 days now and although I do not mind running in you, I don't like 2 hour walks with Mollie the Collie a day in you. I am running out of dry trainers!!
