Poppies A Church And Living Up In Polk Dot Leggings. Hello friends, Happy Tuesday. How has your weekend been?

Poppies A Church And Living Up In Polk Dot Leggings:

It was red-hot weather-wise, here in the UK last week. Too hot to do anything, well that is my excuse! ;) What a difference a week makes though as it is so cold this week!! Last week we have had another lockdown birthday. You can read my posts here if you missed them:

Elsa From Frozen Fancy Dress: Over 40 Party Ideas:

Firstly, hello friends. Happy Tuesday. It is not every day you get the chance to dress up and have fun, is it? Mini-me turned 15 today. Oh my, where have the years gone!? So we made the most of it and what beautiful weather we have had too. Elsa From Frozen Fancy Dress: Over 40 Party Ideas.

I do not really have any photos of my outfit as I was lazying around in a vest top, polka dot cropped leggings and sliders! As you do on a red-hot day. I was going to wear a dress but I was just too hot. So cotton comfortable clothes were called for.

It was just too warm to be wearing much of anything, to be honest.

I'm sure it was the hottest day of the year so far?

Look up at a tree

But what I do have today is some pretty photos that we took when we stopped on the way to my mum and dad's house for a surprise visit.

Church Warsop Church

The place in question is called The Carrs and it is a little village called Warsop about 7ish miles away from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire.

A lovely park where the river Meden runs through. The place where I grew up is just a 10-minute walk away.

I have lots of fun memories here; like the time I went to the dentist at the age of about 13. I noticed no one was on the swing across the river so I had a go.

The next thing I knew I fell in the river and my long woolen dress was soaking through. I always wondered what the dentist thought when I turned up to the dentist, a child alone in a soaking wet dress.

I also had my 4 children when living here so I had years of walking around the park pushing prams.

Church Warsop Church:

Church Warsop is a village in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 1 mile north of Warsop and is within the Warsop civil parish. The parish church of St Peter and St Paul is in early Norman.

The Church brings back fun memories of Christmas and singing here with school when I was growing up.

I remember how amazing the church bells sounded on a Sunday morning and how you could hear them for miles around.

The church I visited to watch my little ones in the nativity when they were little. Trying not to let anyone see I had a tear in my eyes.

When I went to school I walked the path through the church as it was much safer to walk through than the pavement near the road.

Also just under the clock is where my lovely grandparents are buried just the way my granddad would have liked as he was a huge fan of clocks watches and time.

Here are a few more photos from our walk:

Swans On The River Meden:

How sweet are the swans on The River Meden? I love to watch the swans and the ducks. So laid back without a care in the world.

  4. I love taking pictures in nature, but I find bird and critters are hard for me to capture. By the time I get my camera/phone out they have already moved on. That looks like a lovely place to grow up. I grew up in the city, a suburb of Los Angeles. We didn't have green fields and a lot of nature nearby. Even so, I had a wonderful childhood. - Margy

    1. Aww, sounds lovely Margy. I am like that with butterflies. A soon as I see one I reach for my phone but by the time I get it out the butterfly has gone.
